Statement of Faith Eternal Life Christian Center Exists to share the love of Christ by the Proclamation and teaching of the apostles doctrine in an atmosphere of praise, thanksgiving and worship unto the one true God. In support of this purpose the following statements define what we believe and teach. There is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Bible is God's inspired, inerrant and authoritative word for all matters of Christian faith and life. Mankind (both male and female) was created in the image of God, but by voluntary disobedience fell from perfection. All humans are sinful and thus alienated from the blessings and favor of God. Being born-again by the Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation. Water baptism by immersion is an outward manifestation of an inward spiritual event. The Lord's supper (Holy Communion) is a commemoration of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by the symbolical use of the bread and juice of the vine. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is to empower a believer to be a witness to the glory of Jesus Christ. This will be evidenced by living daily a spirit-filled life which bears the fruit of the spirit, as well as, the operation of spiritual gifts as given by the Holy Spirit. It is our sacred duty to identify ourselves with the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. The local church is the primary base of operation for the proclamation of the Gospel. Through Christ, there is true spiritual unity of all believers. The method ordained of God for the support and spread of the Gospel is by giving tithes and free-will offerings. There is a heaven and hell, and there will be eternal judgment for all people, both living and dead. Our Vision Is to develop a strong community of believers who know the Lord Jesus so well they are able to share His love daily with others. Our Mission Is to make true disciples of Christ by reaching out to others as we continue to reach into ourselves with the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
