In July of 2008, Grant Beck of Cedar Rapids, IA, was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, he has received multiple treatments at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. On May 7, 2011, 56 of Grant and Susan Beck's family, friends, and co-workers each played 100 holes of miniature golf to raise money for Grant's medical bills. Through their generosity and support, more than $7600 was raised for the Becks through the Miniature Golf Marathon.

In the Spring of 2005, a suicide car bomber took the sight in both of his eyes. While many would allow this disability to hold us back, Scotty reminds us that nothing is impossible with God. Not only is Scotty the U.S. Army’s first blind active duty officer, he continues to defy the odds by climbing mountains, surfing, skydiving, skiing, running marathons and even writing a book! In April 2011 I went to Winter Jam as a volenteer and my dad and I were right behind where the stage that Tony was speaking on. I was able to meet him and he gave me permission to put this online. He is defidently inspirational, and is one of my favorite speakers!!!

But Biblically, the whole concept of hardship & persecution is for those events to shape our character, and to make our hearts and faith stronger. God would not love us if He made our lives all perfect. In fact; it would be to our detriment.

Tell It Like It Is a song I wrote after hearing on August 26, 2009, Oprah Winfrey say, “… no, tell it like it is you were raped!”
My father was a drug kingpin in New York. My mother was a drunk on the weekends and both were murdered by the gun.
This is the start of my incredible story. I was put into a foster home from the age of sixteen months to seventeen years old, where I was used and abused horribly. This abuse included child abuse filled with sexual, physical and emotional trauma.
After watching the Oprah Show on August 26, 2009 that TV Show changed my life and motivated me to become a better songwriter and recording artist. Here is the story of how that TV show changed everything:
Featured that day, was an NFL Football Player who admitted to Oprah…that he was molested as a child, and Oprah said, “…No, tell it like it is you were raped!”
Three months later, I heard a Missionary Pastor speak all about Human Trafficking. In 15 minutes my song!

This is a testimony to the power of God. Seven years ago I injured my back badly in an accident which has led to 11 major operations on my spine. I have had so much instrumentation put in my spine that it was made impossible for me to bend. Despite this I have managed to continue to preach and watch our church in this small town in Guatemala grow to over 600 and is still growing. This year on Easter Sunday my pastor friend who is from a church of over 26,000 members (Casa de Dios) prayed for me and i was instantly healed. I can now bend forwards and backwards WITH all the metal in me. This is physically impossible but not for God. the video is in Spanish but I am sure you will see this miracle which was approved by a doctor. I give all the glory to God! Hallelujah!
