Lance Quinn grew up in Arkansas and came to faith in Jesus Christ as a freshman at Arkansas State University, graduating in 1982 with a degree in Communications. It was during the summer of that year when Lance came to the settled conviction that the Lord was leading him to go to seminary in order to be trained for pastoral ministry. He attended Talbot Theological Seminary in La Mirada, California, from 1983—86, with further study at The Master’s Seminary, ultimately receiving his Master of Divinity (1988), Master of Theology (1996), and Doctor of Ministry (2017) degrees from The Master’s Seminary. He also received (2001) the Drs. degree (Doctorandus de in Theologie) from the Evangelische Theologische Faculteit (Evangelical Theological Faculty), in Leuven, Belgium.
Lance has been in ministry for over 30 years, 20 of those years as a Senior Pastor. After his first ten years of pastoral ministry in California, he became the Senior Pastor of The Bible Church of Little Rock, Arkansas, where he served for 15 years. He is now the Senior Pastor of Bethany Church on the Hill in Thousand Oaks, California. His hobbies include playing golf and relaxing by watching sports on television. His ultimate pastime however is reading books that have to do with understanding the Bible and Christianity.
Beth, Lance’s wife, was born and raised in Iowa. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in 1984. She was continuing her education at Biola University when she first met Lance when he was a student at Talbot Seminary. They were married in October of 1986. At Bethany Church, Beth leads Women’s Ministries, including discipling and teaching younger women. The Quinns reside in Thousand Oaks and have eight adult children and a growing number of grandchildren.
